Dexter Mar
Dexter Mar has lived in Kaimuki since 1990 and is a retired clinical pharmacist, medical intelligence specialist and executive.
He attends the Hawaii Betsuin temple on Pali Highway and has served as temple president from 2018-2022. He continues to be active on the Hawaii Betsuin Peace Team and serves the statewide Hongwanji as a Board advisor, Buddhist Study Center Program Committee member, and Ministerial Training Committee member.
Dexter received Tokudo ordination in Kyoto, Japan on October 9, 2025 and recently received the designation Tokudo Minister’s Assistant.
