Kailua Service Care Event 2026
On April 28, the Kailua Houseless Service Care Event celebrated its 100th month of providing a meal, snacks, clothing, hygiene products, haircuts, and vital life, health, and legal services. The monthly event held by the Windward YMCA and Daybreak Church together with community partners and faith groups started in 2018.
Each month, a different church or community organization prepares the hot meal and snack packs. April is WBT's month to be a part of this incredible community event. Mahalo to all the Kailua Houseless Service Care Event volunteers and congratulations on reaching this milestone!

Hongwanji Spring Bazaar 2026
Mahalo to all those who came out to the 2026 Hongwanji Spring Bazaar at Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin on Sunday, March 22. We sold out of just about everything we brought! Thank you to the Boy Scouts Troop 49 who helped us load and unload in the rain, and to the many volunteers who help make this event a success every year.
Still hungry for takuan or manju? They will be available at our 2026 Bon Dance in Kailua on July 11.
