Bodhi Day Dharma Service for Sunday, December 14, 2025 with a Dharma Talk by Rev. Kerry Kiyohara, resident minister of Makawao Hongwanji Buddhist Temple ( @MakawaoHongwanji ). This Jodo Shinshu Buddhist service was officiated by Rev. Kiyohara.

Rev. Kiyohara's Dharma Talk has two parts:

  1. Children’s Dharma Story Time: “Santa Buddha: A Christmas Story”

  2. Dharma Talk for the Rest of Us: "The Bodhisattva Santa Claus”

Celebrated annually on December 8, Bodhi Day commemorates Shakyamuni Buddha's attainment of awakening or enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
