The monthly Remembrance Service is a time to honor family, friends, and even pets who passed away during the month of February, regardless of the year. This Jodo Shinshu Buddhist church service was recorded at Windward Buddhist Temple, a Shin Buddhist Temple in Kailua, Hawaii.

Eitaikyo Dharma Service for Sunday, November 16, 2025 with a Dharma Talk by guest minister Rev. Yuika Hasebe of Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin. This Jodo Shinshu Buddhist service was officiated by Rev. Hasebe.

The Eitaikyo Service is a memorial service that honors past Windward Buddhist Temple Dharma followers & temple leaders who came before us. It is through their efforts that the Dharma continues to be shared at WBT to successive generations. Eitaikyo is one of the six special services held by Jodo Shinshu temples during the year.

The last day of our fall Food Drive for the Hawaii Foodbank.

Fall Ohigan Service with Guest Speaker Rev. Yuika Hasebe

Our guest speaker for our Fall Ohigan service was Rev. Yuika Hasebe. Rev. Hasebe is currently an Associate Minister at Hawaii Betsuin, but was once a liaison minister at Kailua Hongwanji. Rev. Hasebe shared the importance of reciting the Nembutsu, namo amida butsu.
